HEALTH & SAFETY
The well-being of guests and staff is our highest priority during your experience with us.
Planning ahead can help enhance your enjoyment and keep your party as safe as possible. Please follow these tips before and during your adventure:
It is recommended that Guests entering the park wear the appropriate footwear for outdoor desert terrain, such as sneakers, boots, or outdoor-specific footwear. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended, and we highly suggest that guests avoid footwear such as heels, sandals, or flip-flops. Sturdy, comfortable footwear will help keep you safe and comfortable throughout the day.
Weather conditions can change unexpectedly so please monitor forecasts closely and bring appropriate clothing layers. During emergency situations, park employees will instruct guests to the closest shelter.
The desert offers a variety of wildlife. The park diligently ensures the containment and release of wildlife from the property. Be advised that you may encounter or run across wildlife while on park property. If you see wildlife, including snakes, coyotes, or javelinas, please keep your distance, and contact a park employee immediately.
Don’t wait to hydrate. It’s a good idea to drink at least 4-6 ounces of water every 15 to 20 minutes. This is especially important during hot weather and at high altitude. Old Tucson provides water bottle fill opportunities inside our restaurants. We also offer bottled water for sale at various locations, including retail shops.
Feeling sick? Please be considerate of other guests and staff if you’re not feeling well. Rebooking options may be available, so please consider joining us another time if you are feeling ill.
